20cmx20cm, acrylic and oil on canvas. Framed in Oak
I love the character of old trees, their twisting branches and weathered trunks telling stories of the passing seasons. There's a comforting sense of permanence about them, a reminder of how nature continues to grow and change around us.
Through expressive brushstrokes, layers of texture and playful colour, I've created my own interpretation of a familiar Australian bushland scene. Rather than representing a particular place, this painting is about capturing a feeling — the warmth of sunlight filtering through the trees, the stillness of the forest and the simple pleasure of being surrounded by nature.
